Maternity Photo Session Info & FAQ

When to book a Maternity Photography Session: I recommend scheduling your maternity session between 28-34 weeks. This is the time you are showing but are not yet in the last few uncomfortable weeks of your pregnancy. This also gives us time to reschedule in case we need to. I recommend booking early - at least one months prior the session. Weekend availability is limited so it is better to book sooner than later. I have more flexibility on weekday evenings.
Maternity Photo Session Planning: When you close your eyes, what do you see for your maternity photography session? Are you envisioning a beautiful open field? Green grass and trees? Elegant architecture? Intimate studio session? We will discuss a what type of session you are looking for and different locations that we can go to. Outdoors sessions are offered about an hour before sunset so we can capture that beautiful golden light. Spouses/partners and children are always welcome.

Studio sessions are offered for those who are looking for a more intimate feel. While planning the session we will discuss the variety of backdrop options and colors.
What to Wear: Wear something that makes you feel beautiful for your.

You can wear jeans and tee for a casual look (no logos), your own maxi dress. You can also choose from our collection of maternity dresses, gowns and bodysuits (at no additional cost) I recommend that on the day of your maternity photo session you pamper yourself! Get a maternity massage. Get your nails, hair and make-up done so you feel your best. You deserve it!
During the Session: Sessions on average last about forty-five minutes to an hour depending on the location. During your session, I will guide you with poses that will make you look and feel your best. My goal is to capture the connection between you, your baby and your partner (if present) as well as to make you feel like the gorgeous, bump-rocking mama you are!
After the Session: Once your session is complete, I will download your images and get to work! When I am done editing, I will upload your images to an online gallery. You will receive an email with your on-line gallery. Please make sure to download your images as a zip file. You may choose to print your photos as you wish and/or order prints and products through me.
